Some Epicness Anyone?

Alright. So. Last Sunday I went to Paumbosila to go skiing with Dario, Alessio and his twin brother Tomasso.  There were also a couple random guys I didn't know with us but they were pretty cool. So that morning I woke up early and Antonio drove me into Lido to catch the bus for 7:30 in the morning....where we would drive for about two hours up into the mountains.
The drive was really beautiful...but unfortunately every picture I tried taking turned out blurry and awful x( gotta love old cameras.
Anyways we finally arrived in Palumbosila and it was sooo cute!! That's all I can say. There was a little log shack with a restaurant and a store...and there were some empty riding stables used only in the summer I'm guessing. And the sun was shining and it was fairly warm. It was very nice. Then once everyone had gotten organized we had to walk quite a way up a road...and go up some stairs...and we found ourselves at the hill...full of B&B's and hotels...more like resorts....there was a sledding hill and you could go snowmobiling or take a quad or whatever....then there were some restaurants...and various rental shops...took us a little while to find the right one (we had called ahead and booked our equipment). Then after everyone finally had their stuff....I started putting on my ski boots..and I sat down on a bench...and there were about 3 snowboards leaned against the wall beside me....as I was putting on my boots the snowboards started sliding down the wall (I did not touch them)....and they started falling and so I tried to stop them...but unfortunately I was a little too late they sort of landed on a little girl who was getting help from her parents putting on her boots. I had managed to stop them before they completely fell on her...but not soon enough for them to bonk her on the head. Then the mother (who I soon found out was a crazy cow) gives me a look of venom and gives me crap...like I pushed the flippin boards on her kid's head. The kid wasn't even crying. Looked to me like she barely noticed. But this stupid lady starts flippin out at me. Oh boy....if she could've spoken English....
I was like do you really think I'm just going to push some boards over on your child's head? I even tried to stop them! God sometimes I GREATLY dislike people with a passion. I won't say hate, that's a strong word. Poor kid's gonna grow up pretty messed with a mom like that. Ugh!
Anyways so after I managed to escape out of the rental shop...we waited in line to get our passes...and then it was time to strap on the skis and get going. But....my skis wouldn't go on. So THEN I had to go back in and get them readjusted. FINALLY we got on the lift...up up and away!
Dario

He looked ridiculous
But I didn't bother to tell him that

So that was skiing. Pretty good day all in all I'd say.

Annnnnnnnnnd then nothing really interesting happened after that until Saturday. After school I stayed in town and went to Dario's house in Santa Maria (a little bit more towards Catanzaro) and ate lunch and all that good stuff...I had some vanilla tea and it was SUPER GOOD. Take note of this Mom ;) And then around 8:00 we left and Dario and I went over to his friend's house and ate supper with all the people from his class. Pretty good time. And I ate way too much.
...I dunno what happened
Walking from the bus stop
A lovely old house
Dario wearing my amazing glasses
This is a typical train of Santa Maria

Who doesn't ever do this?
Really cool graffiti
One of my personal favourites
There's a very nice house behind that ancient looking
 archway...nice touch

A bit of S. Maria
Catanzaro in the distance
I really liked this house
Then on Sunday it was Carneval. Where people throw oranges, stink bombs, shaving cream, and razor blades at each other. How fun. Manu and I stayed safely out of the way of troublesome children dressed up like princesses and super heroes clutching oranges. Then later that evening we went out for a bit..I came back to the house earlier and ate supper at the house...Manu stayed with Aldo for supper.
Tuesday was La Festa Delle Donne (Women's Day)! And so nobody went to school. I spent my day wandering streets...as well as picking up some shampoo. And girls and women are given these little yellow flowers that look like puff-balls called...Mimosa..I believe. They're really cute.
Mimosa :)
There are some pretty cool houses around
D
I liked the stairs
ONE day...I will get a pic of her face!
This is Kyriam by the way
Extremely elusive when it comes to pictures
At the bar...having a cappuccino
A massage chair at Mediaworld
...I thought it was hilarious

After that things were pretty tame....My  biology teacher is scary and made me answer questions in front of the class and I wanted to die.
..........I love Italian school.
Annnd that's pretty much it...oh yeah I drew a picture of the biology teacher...and my math teacher...they'll go up on my next blog
I'm really sorry this one took so long everyone....if it didn't take hours and hours to load about three pictures this blog would have been done a long time ago.
Anyways...Imma go to bed now
Buonanotte,
-Mik
