So last Saturday was Dario's 18th Birthday Party. His birthday was actually in December, but he had wanted to wait until Aldo was out of the Hospital and ready to party. So. That night I hopped in the shower and got all ready to go with my smooth legs in my jeans, clean feet in my blue shoes, and the rest all tucked into a new blue shirt to match. My hair was straightened, accessories were put on, and then we were off.
We arrived at a flat (a rather stylish one...I immediately felt sorry for it..knowing what was probably going to happen inside it later on that night), and quickly went inside, as it was raining and kind of miserable out. For the first little while things were pretty tame, people chatted, we ate lasagna which had been prepared, sat by the fire, etc. etc. Then after a bit, the beverages were brought out...and I must say there was quite a variety. Don't worry. I am responsible. Anyways some people, on the other hand, weren't. And things got loud...people danced out of time to the music, sang weird songs, hugged each other, and people who didn't even know each other were suddenly best friends. Ahhhh parties. After a while my feet started to hurt so I went upstairs and put on some socks which I was smart enough to bring along...and from there a conga was initiated, going down the stairs and all around the rest of the place. Things fell down (mostly people), and there was lots of laughing. When things started getting a little later, I was beginning to feel pretty tired, and people had started disappearing into the bathrooms to either pee...a lot...or throw up. Or maybe even both. By that time I had decided it was time to go and so we then departed and came home, where I fell instantly into a heavy, dreamless sleep. So I guess you could say it turned out pretty well.
Then on Monday it was back to school. I. LOVE. School. It's GREAT (sarcasm. For those of you who didn't catch on). The weather has been noticeably colder, and it rains almost every day. Except for Tuesday. But that was it. So yes, literally there are rainclouds over my head. And when it rains heavily the water leaks through like 4 different places in the roof of my bathroom. I have a bucket to catch most of the water, and towels everywhere else. It's kind of a hassle trying to do your business in there now.
And so, I've lately found that my mood has been matching the weather. Almost exactly. I'm sure you've all been in a situation where you feel invisible. Now. Put that into about 2 or 3 months. Fun right?
Now I'm not writing this blog to complain. So I'll stop myself here. It's just that lately, things are getting tiring. And after a while, after trying so hard for so long, and there's still no change, wouldn't that make you wanna give up too? I know some of it's my fault. And believe me when I say I'm trying so hard to distract myself from this and put on a smile and be Mikeala. Unfortunately, somehow, it always comes back to bite me in the bum again. So maybe I'll just wait out the storm and see what happens, and I hope the weather improves soon.
May the sun be shining on your end of things,
-Mik

School, Tanti Auguri, Puppies and Sunsets
So we'll start with school. Ugh. Nothing has really changed as I'm sure you will soon see in the pages of my new (somewhat) notebook.
I totally had all these pictures organized and nice....but this blog is dumb -.-
So there's a little glimpse of my after - Christmas life in Italy. Not really anything super duper special...but I suppose it's something. The Nutella is back in the house and it's probably one of the hardest things to resist. Annnd yeah. I have no special news I suppose so there you go. I hope you enjoyed the photos!
Cheers,

Soo..Wednesday we threw a surprise birthday party for Kevin because it was his 18th birthday. It was pretty good we had the bar all to ourselves and whatnot. Played stupid games and wore shoes that kill your feet (isn't that kinda counter-productive??). At one point they made Kevin stand up on a chair and the called one person (girl) up at a time and they had to come up and take off a piece of his clothing. Yeah. Guess what I had to take off. Yes you guessed it. His pants. I had no choice in the matter!!!!
I'm sorry I have no photos of this particular game (not). But here's some others!
